As a parent, you want your children to succeed both now and in the future. When it comes to helping them prepare for their school years, their relationships, and life in general, there are a few things you can do to put them on the right path. At Premier Christian Academy in Northlake and Murphy, we love helping little ones grow into responsible and caring teenagers and adults!
Make Friends Early
Friendships are very important in life, and for children, those early friendships can often be the most meaningful. By learning how to interact socially with their peers from a young age, children can learn how to build lasting relationships and understand how to support those they care about, while receiving the same support in return.
Have Them Help Around The House
Every child needs to learn responsibility and what it means to help out, and that can start by helping with chores around the house. As your child grows, you can have them help with laundry, feeding the dog, or taking out the trash. These are skills and responsibilities that will serve them well their entire lives!
Offer Positive Reinforcement
While it’s important to correct negative behavior, it’s also imperative to offer positive reinforcement when a child does something well or is attempting to solve a problem. Positive reinforcement can involve rewards for a chore that’s completed on time, or praise from a parent when a child puts forth a determined effort or does something without being asked.
Early Childhood Education
Early childhood education is key to a little one’s growth and development. At Premier Christian Academy, we offer preschool programs and pre-kindergarten programs that utilize the Abeka curriculum to provide a Christ-centered education. We cover numbers, letters, shapes, and much more, giving your child the foundation they need for a successful education.
